Fuel Treatment Effectiveness in the West Kootenays

Aeron’s research focuses on measuring the effectiveness of fuel reduction treatments in the Slocan Valley of BC in collaboration with the Slocan Integral Forestry Cooperative (SIFCo) and BC Wildfire Service.
Prior to beginning her MSc, Aeron worked as a wildfire fighter for 5 years with BCWS. Aeron holds a BA in Environmental Studies and Anthropology from Bowdoin College and an Advanced Diploma in GIS from BCIT.
